Thomas van Caenegem is a Washington DC-based investigative journalist who specialises in labour and human rights law.

Thomas has a background in law, having studied and worked in human rights law, and he holds a Master’s degree in investigative journalism from the University of Gothenburg. He has written articles on labour and the fishing industry for publications such as De Groene Amsterdammer and EUobserver.

Thomas has lived and worked in Australia, Switzerland, Germany and the United States.
