FADA collective was created in 2020 to bring together the experience of a group of Italian freelance reporters working across media and borders. It unites journalists, photographers, video-makers and independent authors who document, tell and bear witness to our world.

Functioning as an independent newsroom, it focuses on producing in-depth stories of public interest. The collective strives to foster community dialogue on journalism and civic participation.

Its members work "in the field", conducting in-depth research and investigations, reporting the complexity and nuances of places, avoiding generalisations and stereotypes.

Since December 2022 FADA is legally registered as a non-profit organisation according to Italian law.
