Zeitenspiegel Reportagen, founded in 1985, is a collective of writers, photographers, and filmmakers.

Over the past four decades, Zeitenspiegel has earned a strong reputation for its immersive, long-form reporting. The agency publishes in leading outlets such as Stern, Focus, GEO and Die Zeit, as well as for broadcasters including ZDF, ARTE and Deutschlandfunk. Organised as a self-governing newsroom and solidarity-based partnership, Zeitenspiegel is headquartered in southern Germany, with members also based in Germany, Denmark, Manila, and Beijing. Together, they pursue projects of public and journalistic significance worldwide.

One of Zeitenspiegel’s flagship initiatives is MUT – Magazin für Lösungen (MUT – Magazine for Solutions). This constructive journalism magazine was launched in 2016 and is published every autumn as a nationwide supplement in up to 20 regional newspapers, reaching a circulation of around 800,000. Zeitenspiegel members contribute writing, photography and editorial direction, showcasing solutions-oriented reporting and inspiring stories that contrast with conventional, problem-focused news coverage.
