MADRID - "Land of plenty, land of but a few" has won the King of Spain International Journalism Award in the category environmental and sustainable development journalism. This multimedia project was realized by four journalists from Mozambique, Portugal and The Netherlands and supported by Journalismfund.eu.

“Land of plenty, land of but a few” is a web documentary and a data journalism investigation that tells the story of how the peasants who live in the Nacala Corridor, one of the most fertile and populated areas of Mozambique, have been heavily affected by the arrival of large agricultural investments. More about the story here.

The awards, granted by the EFE Agency and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), awarded in this 17th edition work focused on human rights, migrations, femicides, climate crisis or sexual diversity.
