Benedetta Pagni is a science journalist and data analyst based in Trieste, Italy.
She specialises in medical writing for a platform of doctors and works as a freelance in science communicator with Formicablu and as data journalist with Facta.
Benedetta works on several journalistic and science communication projects involving database creation, scientific literature reviews, data analysis, and the application of artificial Intelligence tools to satellite imagery and data analysis. She specialises in data analysis and satellite imagery, and has a keen interest in climate change, the environment and health.
She earned her PhD in biomedicine from the University of Tor Vergata in Rome, conducting her research in the laboratories of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases. After completing her PhD, she went to earn a Master's degree in Science Communication at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste.
