Maryna Smahina is a Ukrainian media editor, media trainer, and author currently living in Finland. She manages content and works in Solutions Journalism at the Ukrainian media outlet Rubryka while pursuing a PhD in Sociology at the University of Helsinki.

Over the past eight years, she has traditionally published four books of fiction in Ukrainian. Whether through novels, reporting, or research, Maryna’s life revolves around writing and finding solutions.
