Journalists will be introduced to the fundamentals of environmental and narrative journalism, including science journalism, transforming sources into compelling characters, international reporting, collaborative journalism, and the basics of freelancing. They will also gain insights into the major challenges facing the Mediterranean due to climate change, and learn about Magma's journalistic approach.
Participants will be divided into three small groups based on their interests. Each group will be assigned a mentor. These groups will then receive mentoring and editorial guidance as they cover pressing environmental issues and solutions in the Mediterranean region. By the end of the programme, each team will have contributed to a digital edition of Magma Magazine. Their work will be published on Magma's website, and they will be strongly encouraged to seek co-publications in other media (See previous edition).
