BRUSSELS - We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our small but growing team in Brussels. Journalismfund.eu is the first independent non-profit organisation, established in 1998, with the purpose of stimulating in-depth cross-border journalism in Europe. 

BRUSSELS - Residues of Chlorpyrifos, a dangerous insecticide, have been found in fruit baskets and samples of human urine across Europe. Chlorpyrifos is a chemical that kills insects on growing vegetables and fruit. The series of stories, funded by Journalismfund Europe, uncover its effect on adults and children, the spread of the pesticide in different foods, the legal battle in European Union and the fact that it has been banned in more and more countries, but cannot be completely avoided.

In honour of World Press Freedom Day on 3 May, the fifth edition of Difference Day will take place in BOZAR, Brussels. Difference Day honours people and organisations that make a difference in protecting and promoting freedom of the press and freedom of expression.

BERLIN - Congratulations to our partner Investigate Europe who were just awarded the "Hans-Matthöfer-Preis" for their publication on BlackRock's investment. The prize recognises "new answers to the big economic and social challenges". 

BRUSSELS - For the first round of 2019, 17 applications were submitted to the European Cross-border Grants jury. There was balanced participation of men and women in the 17 teams (24 female and 26 male journalists).

As part of the Money Trail project, Finance Uncovered and Free Press Unlimited, offer training courses focused on how to investigate tax abuse, money laundering and corruption plus digital safety. The next training will take place in Abuja, bursaries are available!

BRUSSELS - Slavery of Care, a Journalismfund.eu-supported project has been nominated for the prestigious Belfius Press Awards, in the category 'Television Press'. The investigation revealed the systemic exploitation of Bulgarian women in the care sector in Belgium and the Netherlands.
