ONLINE/LONDON – Dark Green is a new free online training programme from The Centre for Investigative Journalism (CIJ). It will focus specifically on helping journalists to more effectively follow the money in their environmental and climate investigations. 

ROME - The project aims to strengthen a network of young Italian storytellers to improve coverage of the climate crisis and its impacts at the national level, as Italy is one of the places in the world that are most exposed to losses from extreme weather damage globally.

GDANSK / ONLINE – This training project focuses on enhancing news and investigative climate reporting in Poland by strengthening climate literacy within the biggest editorial offices.

VIENNA – A two-day intensive workshop featuring a unique program designed for investigative journalists with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of technical skills.

MADRID / ONLINE - The Open Veins of Europe is an exchange programme for 29 journalists from Latin America and Europe, designed as a fellowship to explore the environmental issues that connect both regions.

FERRARA / BERLIN / PARIS / MADRID / BARCELONA - 'Visualising Investigations' consists of five different training and networking sessions in five different cities: Ferrara, Berlin, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona, with the aim to promote collaboration, networking, and the exchange of knowledge between investigative journalists and for photojournalists in Europe.

ONLINE – This is a comprehensive free three-part online workshop series to support investigative journalists reporting on the complex intersection of migration and climate change in Europe.

SOFIA / RUSE— This cross-border training project for environmental investigative journalists, organised by the Bulgarian National Television (BNT) took place between July and November 2024. It focused on the ecological issues of the Black Sea region and the Danube River.

FIRENZE - The first edition of the online Magmatic School of Environmental Journalism will be held online from October 2024 to February 2025. Nine participants have been selected. 

HAMBURG – The annual conference NR24 under the motto "Now is the time - Research for Democracy" took place on 19-20 July 2024. Eight sessions on climate journalism have been supported by Journalismfund Europe.
