CLUJ NAPOCA / IASI / TIMISOARA / CRAIOVA - Our initiative aims to address the lack of coverage in the local media of organized crime and corruption stories by setting up investigative centers together with trusted local journalists and students in 4 major regions of the country.

BRAGANÇA / VILA REAL - This project will deliver deep investigation, scrutiny and storytelling journalism in  the remote and increasingly deserted region of Trás-os-Montes. As the region and its 310.000 inhabitants are often stereotyped as old and isolated, this quality approach will value unique identity and traditions preserved by the physical remoteness.

MOSTECKO - Alarm online daily's newly established regional editorial office will focus on one of the most vulnerable micro-regions in the Czech Republic - the so-called Mostecko region. This first local editorial office of Alarm is a pilot project of a long-term plan to enter the regions and significantly strengthen regional journalism by creating smaller teams working directly in the field.

PLOCK - The project will be implemented in the płock county in Poland. It is a low-urbanized area near the city of Płock, inhabited by more than 90,000 people with no access to quality local news. The main goal of the project is to eliminate the news desert by launching of information sub-portal in this area, including innovative journalistic formats on issues important to the inhabitants of the news desert.

BROUMOV - The Participatory Journalism for the Periphery project will involve members of the public interested in journalism in the creation of content for the Our Broumov Region (in CZ Naše Broumovsko, abbreviated as NB) news website, the only purely regional media outlet that provides information on daily basis.

FARO - This project aims to create a direct communication channel between the audience and our newsroom, making it possible for our readers to submit information that can be changed by our journalists into news. The main purpose is to serve a population that lives in regions of Algarve underserved by media outlets.

OSTRAVA - The Moravian-Silesian Region lacks independent investigative journalism for the proper functioning of local democracy. That is why we will establish a new independent media outlet "Okraj", an investigative and analytical regional editorial office that will not deal with daily news, but rather with the production of complex, contextual articles covering politics, environment, minorities, social issues and more.

NORTHERN GALICIA - We address our neighbors, the citizens of the 20 cities we report on, to tell them what interests them regarding current events and local projects, with closeness, but without renouncing rigor and creativity.

STRASBOURG - "Quartiers connectés" is a media education operation, which allows residents of working-class neighborhoods from Strasbourg to connect with professional journalists and popularize their issues.

KOMOTINI - The project will assist Xronos Media Group to grow sustainably, empowering local communities towards active civic participation.
